Our master upholsterer has 40 years experience trained in victorian upholstery and specialises in reupholstering antique sofas, couches,chaise longues , dining chairs, bed heads and much more.
reupholstering an antique sofa will not generally affect its value - unless the original upholstery and fabric is in as new condition, its a good idea to refresh the piece by upholstering in a modern fabric that you like and that suits your home. With antique day beds its very important to the level of comfort as we will need to adjust the coil springs, tighten or change the webbing, add more stuffing and horsehair, adjust the cane sprung front edge etc to make each antique settle we work on as comfortable as it can be.
We only use traditional materials and traditional methods -
fully sprung seats, black and white webbing, natural fibre and horsehair, deep buttoning, cane sprung edge sofa fronts and much more
We work with your choice of material and are happy to advise on types of covering if you need some help deciding what you want. We can also repair any damage for you and recondition your antique pieces.
